AMC:

If you are planning to open a Demat Account, you must know what is the AMC and why is it so important? AMC means the Annual Maintenance Charge. It is the cost which an investor need to pay quarterly to the Zerodha for maintenance of their Demat accounts. The AMC charges for the Zerodha is much less than the other brokerages.

Here, the Annual Maintenance Charges explained in detail:

  • For the Individuals – Rs.300+18% GST.
  • Partnership and LLP accounts – Rs.300+18% GST.
  • For the Corporate accounts, it is Rs.1000+18% GST.
  • For the IL&FS Demat accounts, it is Rs.400+18% GST.

Note: The charges which are mentioned above, accounts to the full year. For every quarter, one fourth of the above-mentioned charges will be deducted or directly charged from the investor’s trading account balance.
