The Zerodha Account Opening Process is one of the easiest jobs, if someone is going to enter into the stock exchange.

- Income Proof, it is mandatory in case of trading in Futures and Options.
In this article, we will discuss about Zerodha Account Opening process and all other basic details about it:
Step 1: First, click here to visit Zerodha signup page and by using your mobile number and verifying the OTP.
Then you will have to enter your PAN, bank account, Aadhar verification, and personal details to continue with the signup zerodha.
Step 2: Enter your name and email ID. Enter your email address to verify your email id for Zerodha online account opening process.
This is the same email where you’ll receive all your future correspondence from Zerodha online account.
Step 3: Enter your PAN and date of birth (DOB) details.
Step 4: Complete the zerodha account opening payment and your account will be activated, but not for trading yet.
Once you have completed the above mention process, then it is just uploading some necessary documents and E-signing the documents.
Step 5: You will have to link Aadhar once you have made the payment of account opening charges.
Step 6: You need to create a digilocker account and link your Aadhar with Zerodha Account. You do not have to go to some other website, all the pop-ups and dialogue will come in front of you.
Step 7: After entering your DigiLocker account, select the Aadhar card and enter your Aadhar number and verify using OTP received on your phone.
Now you need to ‘LINK YOUR DIGILOCKER WITH ZERODHA’.
Step 8: Once you have completed Aadhar verification, a new screen will pop-up displaying “Let’s finish the application”.
So, you need to fill up details of Bank i.e. your bank account number, bank name and branch’s IFSC Code.
Step 9: Now there is IPV(In-person-verification) Verification over webcam/phone.
Here, opening process will show an OTP on the screen. You need to write this OTP on a paper and hold the piece of paper in front of your mobile phone/ webcam.
Step 10: You will have the option to either Digitally sign the application with Aadhaar and OTP or else print & courier it.
However, I personally suggest to go with the Aadhar Option, as it is an easier and faster way.
Step 11: Upload scanned copy of the documents: Bank Account Proof, your current signature and PAN.
Step 12: In the next window, enter your Aadhaar number and tick the checkbox and click on ‘Request OTP’ button.
Here, enter the OTP number received on your mobile. With this the eSign process for Equity is complete.
